RRPCC has a long history of competition, mostly in time trialling but also road, circuit and cyclo-cross. As a club, we organise an evening series of time trials, an Open 10 mile time trial, a hill climb, a round of the local cyclo-cross league and for 2017, a road race. We also organise a traditional pre-season Reliability Trial (a ride, not a race!) Use the following links to find out more:

In keeping with tradition, we are once again hosting a Reliability Trial in 2017 for the pre-season test of rider and bike. Historically, the objective has been to ride from the start location to a designated point and back averaging no more than 18mph on an unmarked route without marshals - leaving the rider to decide the route for themselves. A checker is located at the turn point (with tea & coffee!) to make sure everyone makes it. We have three rides going out to Broom, Willersey and Winchcombe.

Route cards, GPX files and a map of the suggested routes are available below for each ride:

The club has a thriving time trial scene with many members and non-members regularly turning-up to test themselves against the clock. We organise a series of evening time trials from early April to the end of August. These are held fortnightly on at Tuesday evening with the first rider setting off at 7pm and subsequent riders at 1 minute intervals thereafter. We recommend that you arrive around 6.30pm to allow yourself enough time to sign-on and get warmed-up. Our events are open to anyone of any ability (12 years and over) - that is the beauty of time trialling - it is just you riding the course to beat yourself!
The 2017 series consists of the following events:

Hayley Simmonds (British Time Trial Champion):
"The great thing about TTs is that they are individual events so anybody can have a go, regardless of equipment – you just need a bike! I actually think that time trialling is one of the best ways to get into competitive cycling as there isn’t the ‘intimidation factor’ of riding in a bunch or potentially being dropped. Many clubs have weekly evening TTs that you can enter for a very small cost (£2-3) and they are a great opportunity to get out and test yourself – you can then go back to the same course regularly and try to improve your time, which adds motivation for training. It’s a friendly and encouraging atmosphere with people chatting afterwards over tea and cake."
At the end of each road season, RRPCC awards 12 of it's members with trophies for their time-trialling achievements. This includes 'Best All Rounder' (BAR) for 5, 10 & 25 miles covering each age category, also BAR for 10, 25 & 50 miles, fastest 25, fastest 50, fastest 25 by a novice not to have beaten 1hr 8mins before, fastest in our open 10 and a 2-up for fasted male and female pair to complete 5 miles.
Additionally, awards will be given to winners of the time trial series. See the Time Trial Series page for more information
