Example

A rider's personal or seasons best time of say 28:00 plus 45 seconds handicap allowance giving a standard time of 28:45. The maximum points that can be scored is 60, on achieving 60 points a new standard will be issued. EG 28:00 = 28:45. Time in event say 28:12 = 33 points scored EG 28:00 = 28:45. Time in event = 27:42 = max score 60 points, new standard 28:27 round upto 28:30 On scoring 60points a new standard will be given On scoring 30points or more a new standard may be given EG A fast event everyone scores near to personal or seasons best between say 30 - 45points with a handful of P.B times = no general cut standard times except P.B performers. EG A cold wet windy event everyone except 1 rider scores 15 - 25 points the 1 rider scores 52 points, this would indicate a future larger improvement on a good night, this would be assessed and maybe cut standard by 10 - 15 seconds. We would suggest the best 9 out of 13 events to allow for holidays, off days and to allow younger riders to opt out of the longer events
