We as a club participate in most disciplines of cycling as can be seen from
the photos above catering for all age groups.
We celebrated our 125 years as a club in 2010, we are one of the oldest
clubs in the country.
Ever wanted to compete in cycle races, ride with other like minded people
but don't know how to get started?
Then why not join a Cycling Club that's been in existence since 1885. We
have vast experience, knowledge and expertise. There is no age
limit, our youngest cycling member is 4 and our oldest is 85! The
4-17 yr olds are our
"Slipstreamers". This is now a well established section of the
Club with up and coming stars already active in competition.
During the summer months we shall be training the Slipstreamers
towards gaining the BSCA Trix and Traditional Awards and take part
in the national
'Go-Ride' scheme. Both schemes are skills based, led by British
Cycling qualified coaches, and are aimed at giving the riders more
control over their cycles.
Do I need to be able to ride a bike?
No, we have experienced British
Cycling qualified coaches who have taught many people how to ride
over the years.
What equipment do I need?
Being a club member means you are entitled to
borrow various pieces of equipment including racing bikes.
How much does it cost?
For family membership, the cost is as little as £12 per annum, for children
its even less!

Do you just do road racing?
No, we also do Cyclo-Cross, Track riding and
racing, Time-Trials and leisure riding.
Can we join as a family?
Yes, we do have a Family Membership which
covers parents and children under 13 years. We do special family
rides and during the summer have camping expeditions.
Do you still train outside during the winter?
As it gets dark before
6:30pm during the winter we train inside at The Vaynor First School,
using turbo trainers and other equipment. On the weekends we still
have outdoor rides see
Club runs and details.
